Terms of Service
These terms apply to all building and construction services supplied by AWH Construction Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote, booking a site visit or accepting work from us, you ("the customer") agree to these terms.
1. About us
AWH Construction Ltd is a building and construction company based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. All works are carried out by qualified, experienced tradespeople and subcontractors appropriate to the trade involved, in line with current building regulations.
2. Quotations and estimates
Quotes provided in writing are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Estimates given verbally or online are approximate and may change once the works are inspected on site. We reserve the right to revise a quote where hidden defects, ground conditions, access issues or additional works are discovered that could not reasonably have been foreseen.
3. Deposits and payment
For larger works we may request a deposit to secure the project and cover materials. Deposits and staged payments are stated on your quote or invoice and are due before the relevant stage of works commences. The balance (or remaining balance) is due on completion unless separate payment terms have been agreed in writing. Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue unless stated otherwise. We accept card payments online via Stripe and bank transfer.
4. Site access
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the property and the works area, including parking, clear space to carry out the works and a suitable area for the storage of materials and plant where agreed. We are not liable for delays caused by restricted access or unsafe site conditions.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
Booked site visits can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations within 24 hours of the agreed time may be subject to a charge. Deposits for materials are non-refundable once goods have been ordered on your behalf.
6. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the works required and the existing structure.
- Ensure an adult (18+) is present, or contact available, for the duration of the works where required.
- Tell us of any known structural, drainage or site issue that may affect the works.
- Keep pets and children away from the works area for safety.
7. Workmanship and guarantees
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion against defects in construction. This does not cover materials or products supplied by manufacturers, which are subject to their own warranties, nor faults caused by misuse, poor maintenance, ground movement or third-party interference. Where manufacturer guarantees apply to installed products, these are registered on your behalf where possible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the works carried out. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for damage to existing structures where age, condition or access limits could not reasonably have been identified before works began.
9. Complaints
We aim to resolve any concern promptly. Contact us at or 07552 070364. We will acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and work with you to reach a fair resolution.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
